Welcome to Station Design

Hear Network Rail, Crossrail and TFL outline their programme timelines, procurement strategies, partner selection criteria and design aspirations.

Station Design focuses on the upcoming commercial opportunities for station redevelopment arising over the next 12-24 months and the key design principles for developing aesthetic, functional and integrated civic buildings. With Network Rail recently announcing that it will make £3.25bn available until 2014 to improve 2,000 stations and a National Stations Improvement Programme (NSIP) also in place, this event is particularly timely and relevant.

Hear from design champions on how to design aesthetic, functional and integrated stations surrounded by vibrant public realms.

Taking a holistic approach to station design this event will also focus on key interchange design and urban design concepts to ensure stations are woven into the fabric of a city and are a catalyst for developing cohesive and sustainable communities.
